Spike Jonze collaboration with Opening Ceremony!

Spike Jonze,  director of the upcoming film, “Where the Wild Things Are” partnered with Opening Cermony on a series of pieces inspired by the children’s book-turned-movie.  There will be faux furs by Humberto Leon, one of the owners of OC, and amazing claw-like jewelry by Pamela Love. Another awesome collaboration!!

Cole, Rood & Haan Launch

Cole Haan launched a new line of handmade shoes inspired by vintage designs, as a tribute to Trafton Cole, William Rood & Eddie Haan.  The three of them started their company in the 1920s in Chicago, so the line is appropriately called Cole, Rood & Haan.

The women’s shoes are so perfect for this Fall – I’m definitely gonna order myself a pair.

I’m getting kind of tired of all these companies reinventing and relaunching themselves, but this time I am really inspired, and love the direction they’re taking.  The entire site is beautiful too…

Numéro Magazine August 2009

I love this black and white shoot of Catherine McNeil by Greg Kadel, for the #105 issue of Numéro Magazine. Those vintage studded boots are pretty.

Everyday Life Objects

This is an awesome looking pop-up shop that only existed in Milan for the week of the Furniture Fair… Put together by Apartamento Magazine and Reference Library.  I saw these images on The Selby… I especially love the paperclip necklaces by Lauren Manoogian and the Bertjan Pot hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling.

Felissimo Colored Pencil Set

I just saw this complete set of 500 colored pencils designed by social designer for felissimo, and it’s driving me bananas.  I want it as an art installation for my apartment, and I would definitely use them for their intended purpose.

Heavy Metal

I recently found an amazing belt at an antique market – it’s got two big metal bird heads on the front that connect to each other.  I’ve been waiting for the right time to wear it, but I think I’m gonna bust it out tomorrow, because  I just saw these insane Christopher Ross belts on Judy Aldridge’s blog.  She has a whole collection that is so inspiring – I’m gonna start my animal kingdom very shortly…

Christopher Ross just launched their new official website – check it out!
